Dear CPCA Attendees:

I am honored to welcome you to the City of Palm Springs as we host the 43rd Annual California Police Chiefs’ Association Training Conference. The City of Palm Springs is an inclusive world class city and is like no place else.  We look forward to you spending the week with us, as we highlight all that our City has to offer.

Law Enforcement, as a whole, is facing many unprecedented challenges and expectations.  Leadership has evolved and become more important than ever.  This year’s conference theme, “A Vision for Tomorrow,” will focus on varying topic/training sessions to include legal updates, operational issues, panel discussions, law enforcement strategies, police training, and organizational culture.  We are working closely with the CPCA to bring conference sessions that will also provide platforms and approaches to address and enhance community-police communications.  A trade show highlighting equipment and technology resources will also be available.

The Palm Springs Police Department is committed to providing insight in the continuance of building partnerships with our colleagues from throughout our state.   I am hopeful that you and members of your law enforcement agencies will join us to collaborate in identifying new ways to bring about positive and innovative improvements in our ever changing environment of modern policing.

 Regards,

Bryan Reyes
Chief of Police
